Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery 'Summit', British Columbia
Readers rated this wine:
Potent, muscular, slick
Born of three vineyards in the Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Malbec were aged separately in French oak barrel for 13 months before blending into the Summit. The blend was then aged an additional 24 months.
It has a plush nose of sweet black fruit, vanilla, baking spiced and cedar chips, mocha, licorice, cloves and molasses, with a hint of soy sauce. Intense, slick and weighty, it has thick flavours of chocolate, espresso, spice and black fruit. Potent, extracted and muscular with a long finish--it's a wine with purpose.
Pairs great with Gone Crackers Canadian Chedder & Chive
